NAMA GRatitude Tour
CHALLENGE
The NAMA Gratitude Tour was created to generate awareness for the new generation of vending machines among the Gen Y demographic and consumers in general. In order to accomplish this goal, UCG Marketing worked closely with NAMA (The National Automatic Merchandising Association) and Healy and Schulte (NAMA’s Marketing firm), to execute a seven city tour displaying some of the most innovative vending machines available. Of course, we also gave out thousands of free product samples to event attendees.
- Utilizing a 53ft. custom branded tractor trailer and additional support vehicles, The Gratitude Tour traveled to seven Gen Y cities including Boston, New York, Atlanta, Austin, Phoenix, Minneapolis, and finishing up in Madison
- Spanning a 100’x100’ footprint, UCG strategically displayed 20 of the latest and greatest vending machines from companies such as Coca-Cola, Kraft, Pepsi, Starbucks, VendEver, Crane, USI and 2bU. All of the featured vending machines allowed consumers to interact with the latest machine features as well as get a Free Vend! Yup, everything in each of the machines was FREE!
- Exhibits were also on display from Company Kitchen, MEI, Avanti, AdvancePierre Foods featuring each company’s vending options and technology
- Two Free Sample tents were available to consumers, providing additional free samples including energy bars, snacks, candy, chips, beverages and other consumer product goods
- A Social Media Tent was setup where consumers had a chance to enter the “Vend Love Win” contest hosted on Facebook and receive a free tour t-shirt. Contestants that entered the contest had a chance to win the monthly $200 contest as well as the $5000 grand prize!
- Local bands in each market provided additional entertainment for event attendees
